GIFF President Leads Team to FIATA Centenary Celebrations in Milan

The President of the Ghana Institute of Freight Forwarders (GIFF), Mr Stephen Adjokatcher, is leading a Ghanaian delegation to Milan, Italy, for celebrations marking the 100th anniversary of the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA).

Mr Adjokatcher, who also serves as a Vice President of FIATA, is participating in the landmark gathering alongside freight forwarding professionals and industry leaders from around the world to commemorate a century of international collaboration and discuss the future of global logistics and supply chains.

The Ghanaian delegation is joined by representatives of Togo’s Union Professionnelle des Agréés en Douane (UPRAD), led by its President, Mr Manyon Patrick Magnon.

GIFF facilitated UPRAD’s introduction to FIATA, creating an opportunity for Togolese freight forwarding professionals to strengthen their international networks and engage more closely with the global freight forwarding community.

The participation of the two West African delegations highlights the importance of regional cooperation in advancing professional development, strengthening international partnerships and increasing Africa’s representation in the global logistics industry.

The centenary celebrations also provide opportunities for engagement on key industry issues, including digitalisation, trade facilitation, sustainability and emerging developments in international supply chains.

GIFF’s participation reflects its continued engagement with the international freight forwarding community and its commitment to creating opportunities for Ghanaian and other West African practitioners.
